Boris Voytsekhovskiy

Boris Voytsekhovskiy (b. 1973, Moscow) is an artist based in Haifa whose practice centers on the preservation and reinterpretation of ethnocultural traditions. He gained recognition for his deep exploration of the "dying" folk crafts and disappearing mountain settlements of Dagestan, notably through the 2020 ethno-festival "Legend of Amuzgi." His large-scale installations and drawings, which document traditional life, have been featured in prominent institutions such as the National Museum of the Republic of Dagestan.

Since moving to Israel, Voytsekhovskiy has extended his visual research to his own family history and Haredi culture, exploring themes of identity, cultural codes, and the collective experience of war. His work has been exhibited internationally, including the "Artists Stand With Israel" project and galleries in London, Tel Aviv, and Jerusalem. His pieces are held in the State Center of Ethnic Culture in Dagestan and private collections across the USA, Israel, and Europe.
