Sharon Rashbam Prop

I am constantly searching for the essence of the line- its many faces and its elusive nature. For me, the line creates the narrative; a hesitant, stuttering line conveys a fragility that represents true honesty, while a line that is too bold or certain feels simplistic. An authentic line is born only when thought gives way to the flow of the hand, emerging without effort or the pressure of "success." I work in series, building sentences and stories piece by piece to capture an emotion or a truth that is often left unspoken.

Through my art, I explore the cycle of life: childhood, maturation, and aging - and the personal reflections that arise along the way. My work serves as a dialogue, first with myself, to ensure my experiences are shared and acknowledged, and then with the viewer. I strive to create a space where others can find a reflection of their own journeys, mirrored in the uneven, contemplative lines of my drawings and the texts that accompany them.
